While hustling through my 9 to 5, I stumbled upon the phrase “Work-Life Balance.”

At first, it seemed like a cool idea, but when I dug deeper and tried to make it work, I wondered — is this for real?

I’ve read articles, watched videos, and heard self-help gurus talk about it, but honestly, I never got it.

The weird part was, there is a large number of people trying to achieve it.

The below two things support this -

  • Tons of views on videos/articles/podcasts discussing this concept.
  • My colleagues and friends used to chat about balancing life and work, and the challenges they faced.

The mantra during the 9 to 5 grind was simple: “Work on weekdays, live life on weekends.”

Trying to stick to this mantra left me feeling dissatisfied and down.

A few months ago, I thought about it during a journal prompt, and I realized the flaw.
