We All Are Running a Race Where No One Will Ever Win!
Mindless Races of Life.
I engage in morning walks or runs four times a week.
I’ve noticed a common behaviour among people during these times. When someone is close to another person, there’s a tendency to speed up, trying to overtake them.
Now, this isn’t just about walking; it extends to driving and riding as well.
What underlies this behaviour?
It’s competition. We seem to be in a perpetual race, likely because we’re not satisfied or confident in our own existence.
We constantly feel the need to prove ourselves by competing, often without much thought.
Why do I say “mindlessly”?
Consider the above scenario: You might be in your peak phase, while the person you randomly start competing with could be in their warm-up or cool-down phase. Competing in such a situation makes little sense.
Even if you are in the same phase, everyone’s body is different, resulting in variations in speed.
In this way, we unwittingly engage in this mindless race throughout our lives. Let me shed some light on this.
