Are you amazed by the change in technology happening especially in the smartphones. Every year there is a new design, new features, new chip- hence improved performance.

Do you feel FOMO after every launch of new product line up that you already own? (OR is it just me?)

Do you own currently any tech gadget which is more than 5 year old? Is it perfectly usable? I am sure the will be NO for most of us!

There are multiple reason for slowing down of the phone, but the major one is the Moore’s Law!

What is Moore’s Law?

Moore’s Law is a prediction made by co-founder of Intel, Gordon Moore in 1965.

Before understanding Moore’s Law, you need to understand 2 terms:

Chip- It is a wafer like thing that is the foundation of many electronic device like laptop, television, smartphones, and more.

Transistors- They are like switches on the chip that can be turned on or off to control the electric current.

Moore observed that number of transistors that can be integrated onto a semiconductor chip (also know as chip) was doubling every two years. It meant that the processing power of computer chips would double every two…
