You’re always alone

My view outside waiting room!

I am writing this article to keep up with my streak of publishing every Monday, Wednesday & Friday!

I am currently facing a family medical emergency, and things are better today hence I am able to write. This will be my first post which I am directly writing here on Medium’s editor and not my regular editor, Notion.

During these last 48+ hours – Mostly waiting in the waiting room, I learned something about the behaviour of people coming to meet the patient –

  • Only few actually care
  • They come only for the attendance
  • Family the keeps on repeating ‘What happened’. They are in the loop, hence not able to get out of that incident/trauma that got them here
  • For some, it’s a picnic and break from normal life

I felt, the real person who cares for the situation and the patient are the one’s who are not there in the limelight and are quietly sitting somewhere praying deep inside, for betterment of the patient.

What I am learning while sitting –

  • Observing people and understanding different kind of psychologies
  • Patience
  • Taking care of other family member’s emotion and well-being
  • Who is real family

P.S. – Pray for faster recovery!
