A few days ago, I dreamt about a friend who owns a VC firm. A few years back, I connected with him and shared an idea I had in mind. He showed interest, and for the next two weeks, I focused on developing that idea.
I messaged him again and set up an online meeting to discuss it further. He attended, expressed positivity about the approach, and inquired about the team. At that moment, I didn’t have any details about the team, and he offered to help.
However, since then, he hasn’t responded, and my attempts to reach him through seven messages and more than ten calls have been unsuccessful.
I later discovered that his company is now funding a startup based on the idea I discussed with him. I felt disappointed for a couple of days, but I gained some valuable insights.
